Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy machinery offered by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial settings where the equipment should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the flexibility and benefits of a diesel powered generator utilizing a 48 Volt DC machine.
Important features that this combination offers is up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing provided by most models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The proportional and drive controls offer the machinery with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an extra working range for specific jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine

Diesel engine machines on nearly all modes have an articulating boom that offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machinery are ideal in narrow or small places. Furthermore, they provide supreme power, excellent torque and grade and terrain maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet overall as well. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces that are rough and uneven.
The 2 or 4 wheel drive models, provide high ground clearance and the rough terrain features which make these desirable to add to any fleet. The jib boom kinds are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
